Our 72 Hours in Paris Recap

We recently came back from our first "72 Hours in Paris" excursion with Brooklyn Boudoir and wanted to share the highlights of this incredible experience with all of you. In addition to the amazing photoshoots we wanted to give our attending customers a chance to indulge in private lingerie events of some of our favorite iconic French brands we carry at Sugar Cookies. Each experience in our journey held true to the theme of luxury fashion, Parisian culture, personal celebration and artistic photography.

Below is a detailed list of highlights from this incredible trip.

Day 1

Upon arriving in Paris, we filled our amazing apartment with pieces from Atelier Amour for our guests to admire and shop when they arrived that morning. Throughout the day we continued with our Eiffel Tower photoshoots and prepared for our next excursion. After the shoot, we were off to visit The Musée Yves Saint Laurent which had been the location of his former legendary haute couture house. The latest exhibition displayed a collection of pieces from one of YSL’s beloved artistic expressions; sheer fabrics. We saw sheer tops paired with trousers, bras worn as tops under blazers and lace cut outs galore.

YSL strongly believed in the liberation of women and sought to empower them through his silhouettes and fabrications. For our lingerie lovers this was the perfect way to find inspiration for their upcoming  boudoir shoots!

Later that evening, our group made their way to the Aubade showroom in the fabulous Les Halles neighborhood. When we stepped off the elevator we were graciously greeted by the Aubade corporate team and found ourselves in a lingerie connoisseur’s paradise with a beautiful showroom surrounded by a balcony displaying a breathtaking 360 degree view of Paris.

As we sipped champagne we received an intimate first hand preview of  Aubade’s Fall/Winter Collection along with a fashion show that included female and male models. As the excitement of the fashion show grew, a few (ok all) of us let loose and held an impromptu dance party with the models. It was a great way to finish our evening with everyone feeling the full VIP treatment!

Day 2

The morning began at Cadolle, a female and family run bespoke lingerie atelier located in the historically prestigious 1st Arrondissement. Patricia, who currently operates Cadolle, took us through her family's incredible lineage. Since 1889, when founder Herminie Cadolle invented the first modern day bra, the company has carried on from mother to daughter for over six generations.

After our time in their private atelier, which was one of the most unique and special moments of the trip, we took a stroll to their boutique where we had the pleasure of shopping their luxurious corsets.

Later that evening, we continued our lingerie experience with another esteemed luxury brand, Lise Charmel. The executive team along with the entire boutique staff welcomed us to their beautiful flagship boutique while we shopped their latest collection, sipped two varieties of their local champagne and even got to see “behind the scenes” in their upstairs studio where the magic of creating their collections happens.

Towards the end of the event we were treated to a very special surprise awaited us as French artist Caroline Montigneaux drew each of our attendees in her signature pen and watercolor style. This was truly an unforgettable event! We concluded Day 2 with a dinner cruise on the Seine and more photos at the famous Bir Hakim bridge.

Day 3

It’s Boudoir Photoshoot Day! Each of our ladies enjoyed professional hair and makeup styling before their boudoir shoots with Stephanie at our incredible Parisian flat. After the photoshoots we all had some downtime to enjoy ourselves on a welcomed sunny and warm day.

Last but definitely not least, our 72 Hours ended with a celebratory dinner (along with more champagne) at the world-famous Crazy Horse Cabaret, for amazing dancing, showmanship and cheeky fun!
